Most of the motorcycle industry is designed for men. This leaves women trying to adapt to machines and gear that aren't necessarily designed for them. While I can't pretend to be an expert on what it's like to be a woman who rides, I can point to blogs and websites that are excellent resources. These are just a few of the best one's I've found.
Women Riders Now
This website is a look at the motorcycle industry through a female lens. You'll find excellent advice on bikes, gear and just about everything else. There's a very useful guide for beginner women riders that I highly recommend.
Your Guide to Women’s Motorcycle Gear from J&P Cycles
J&P Cycles is a well-known motorcycle parts and gear website, but the company also has a great blog. Its guide about women's gear is superb. It gets into some seriously helpful details about what to look for and what you'll need if you're a woman searching for the perfect helmet, jacket, pants, etc.
This blog by motorcycle racer and instructor, Vicki Gray, is a wonderful resource for any woman who rides. There's tons of advice on bikes, riding techniques and gear. No matter what your skill level is, you'll find something of use on Motoress. Don't let this one slip by you.
