The Kawasaki Z125 Pro is Kawasaki's answer to the Honda Grom. The bike looks like the original Grom and is about the same size and power output. Kawasaki couldn't let Honda have all the fun in the pint-sized sportbike segment, and I'm thrilled there's another weird little sportbike out there. While this probably isn't the best bike to learn how to ride on, it would sure be a lot of fun and definitely wouldn't be the worst choice in terms of a start bike.
The Kawasaki Z125 Pro features a fuel-injected 125 cc single-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission. It's got a digital instrument cluster and electric start. In other words, it's a modern motorcycle that just happens to be very small and built for fun sporty riding, much the same as the Honda Grom is.
The Z125 Pro comes in either green or silver. The bike starts at $2,999 which is a few hundred bucks cheaper than Honda's bike. I expect these little bikes to sell as well as the Grom so if you see one at a dealership near you, you might want to snatch it up before it's gone.
