I never get sick of checking out new gear. Recently, I came across this pair of boots, the Alpinestars Roam 2 Air Boots. These are a modified version of the previous Alpinestars boots that bore a similar name. They offer perforations in the textile material, letting your foot breathe better while riding. Let's take a closer look at what these boots offer.
The Roam 2 Air Boots are more of a three-season boot, thanks to the perforated textile material. First off, the textile material breathes a little better than leather. The added perforation improves airflow and makes these ideal for warmer riding months.
The tall, mid-calf fit means they're going to offer good protection up the ankle, and the overall design put comfort before style. That's not to say they're ugly boots, but you can easily find other, more handsome motorcycle boots out there, like the Harley Davidson Boxbury boots, I've previously discussed.
The Aplinestars Roam 2 Air Boots offer a three-strap system that keeps the boots tight on your feet. The straps are attached via Velcro, and easy to adjust. The heal and toe reinforcements are made of synthetic material that make them very strong. The boots are CE certified and offer a couple subtle reflective elements and piping for added safety.
These boots aren't great for walking around. If you're looking for something that will work well as a riding boot but then still be very comfortable off-bike, you may want to look elsewhere.
That said, if you're after a boot that's going to provide supreme comfort while you ride, these are an excellent choice. With prices ranging from $170 to $180, the Alpinestars Roam 2 Air Boots aren't too expensive either.
